Our spotlight shines on...

Kendra Floyd

Meet our Flautist
Kendra Floyd

Grew up in Fair Bluff, NC (I'm an actual North Carolinian!!)
Started playing flute in fourth grade at Fair Bluff Elementary.
Went to high school at West Columbus High School.
Continued to play flute and piccolo in the marching and concert bands.

Attended Appalachian State University having received a music scholarship.
Decided after freshman year she was more interested in just playing music and not teaching it.
Decided to give her scholarship back and changed her major to Clothing & Textiles.
Continued to play in the marching and concert bands as well as the flute choir during remaining time at ASU.

Works at The North Carolina Museum of History with their costume collection
and also works at The Container Store.

Has been playing with The Raleigh Concert Band for about 6 years.
Loves animals and that's why she does lots of pet sitting.
Also loves to travel and drink good beer :-)
